How to feed your blog into your Facebook Fan Page

Has anyone else ever noticed that just about the time you start feeling comfortable with the features on Facebook, they change them?

I posted a blog not that long ago back giving step by step instructions on how to feed your blog into your Facebook Fan Page, and it is now outdated, of course. So I wanted to put up the current page-by-page steps - working as of this moment, that is!

The one thing that is constant is change! Thanks for the update.

Ruth~ GREAT information I just went to set it up! I am have a little issue with it saying "pending" authorization to my fan page... Will see what happens.  We were just talking about this at RainCamp, we were saying there had to be a way and here it is! Going to have to suggest this be featured for everyone to see! Thanks Again!!

Debra, and there is no better example of that than Facebook! Melissa, once in awhile they have a glitch on the "permissions" to get the authorization. Here's a link to get that resolved: http://getsatisfaction.com/rssgraffiti/topics/missing_permissions_solution_guide If you still have issues, click the "Got a question" tab on the application, then click "Community Support". They are GREAT at getting back with you to help you with any problems or questions (unlike FB, I might add!)

Thanks for taking the time to show me how to do this on Thursday.  It took a while for to actually "load".  I was getting a bit impatient (wipe that shocked look off your face).

Ruth~ I went back and found the fix and was coming back to tell you.  So thank you for taking the time to post the answer and the way to get this done! I am going to enjoy it going there all by itself!!

Oh brother! Does that mean my blog won't go to FB until I change this? They are keeping me in a constant state of flux these days, LOL A few days ago I had to Google how to find my FB Groups again!

Thanks so much for this information. I see now that you have training on saving a blog post. I was almost finished writing one last night and thought since it said it was auto saved, it was. But, no, it wasn't. I'm going to check out your training info.

How does everybody keep up with Active Rain, Twitter, Facebook, Trulia, Linkedin? I can only do one at a time... YIKES!!

Posted by Sherilyn M. Whistler, Need a Referral, Call Me ! (ERA Herman Group Real Estate-NoCo) over 7 years ago

Donna, Impatient? No. You?? There is a filter in the application that allows you to roll the clock back and pick up older posts, if you want to do that.

Melissa, I hear you. Set the systems and let them work for you!

Debi, I don't think you'll have to change anything that you've done in the past (at least my old way still works.) Just can't repeat the same steps going forward.

JoAnn, Look at my training post on scribefire. It will eliminate the saving issue.

Jane, It won't stop, I don't think. It's just different steps if you want to add another feed.

Gwen, I have some great ideas for us on FB. But for now, just keep getting proficient with AR! You are doing GREAT!

Sherilyn, I only "work" in AR, but I pull my public posts in all the other platforms so it LOOKS like I'm active in everything. Google will pick me up in the others as well.

Melissa, Funny how technology can be your best friend or your worst nightmare... the difference is whether or not you get it figured out! And once you do, you feel like a great chore has been completed and can be checked off your to-do list! Glad this info helped you.

Thanks Ruth once again for all the great information you provide.  Not sure how what we would do without you as a great resource.

I'm with Sherilyn - how does everyone find the time to "keep up"!

Ruth, thanks again for the information.  Wow, it is a challenge to keep up with all the constant changes, but thanks to you for making it easier.

Joan, Setting up systems, then let 'em work for you! Great, isn't it??

Ellen, Learning a new technique is always quite a mental work out. Just keep at it... it will get easier!

Vickie, You are most welcome. The real reward is watching people like you "get it"!

Hi Ruth, Great post - this may be a dumb question but on step #9 where do I get the URL of my RSS/ATOM feed?

Thanks,

Mary, Oh my goodness... how in the world did I not notice these comments? I am so embarrassed! Hope to see you at the meeting in a couple of weeks so I can apologize in person!  :)

Jason, by now I'm sure you have figured this out. By "ghost blogger" does that mean you write blogs for others?

Thanks again Ruth for the information.  I am completely new to RSS feeds so the simplicity of your slideshow was so easy for me to follow.  I am going to look up your post on how to get your RSS fee from Active Rain to your blog now lol.

Thanks again!
